Low Emission Zones and E-Zones

In addition to the regional Euro emissions standards, many European cities have been designated as Low Emission Zones (LEZ's or E-Zones).  Within these zones, vehicles must meet strict emissions limits, often based  on Euro standards.

London LEZ roadsignThe London Low Emission Zone was introduced in 2008 for heavy-duty vehicles and this will be extended to minibuses and light-duty vehicles in 2012.  More than 50 Cities in Germany, Holland and Denmark have also introduced E-Zones to reduce pollution from vehicles.

Our sister company, Eminox Ltd is a leading supplier of specialist emissions technology and has helped to upgrade thousands of vehicles across Europe in order to allow them to enter these cities.
